6 Run Big Mountain Heli
Shiribetsu-Dake is just a short drive from the Niseko area making heli skiing in Niseko the perfect highlight to your powder holiday.
There are few things more exhilarating than being shuttled up the mountain in a helicopter. There are also few better experiences than being dropped off on the top of a volcano at 1,107 meters with 360-degree views and steep powder lines for the taking. All helicopter packages include professional guiding and safety instructions, along with snow safety equipment (backpack, avalanche beacon, shovel, and probe). We also provide complimentary transport services from local accommodations.
Skier/Snowboarder Ability – Advanced/Expert Only!
The heli skiing terrain on Mt. Shiribetsu is some of the steepest, most challenging terrain the Niseko area has to offer. Guests must be confident skiing/riding powder on steep avalanche terrain and through tight trees (please see this video as reference).To help us confirm that this tour is suitable for you, we now require guests to send us a short video (15–30 seconds) showing them skiing or snowboarding in powder conditions.

Our team will review your video and let you know whether you meet the required ability level for heli skiing on Mt. Shiribetsu. If not, we’ll gladly recommend one of our alternative guided tours that may be more suitable for your skill level and still offer great powder skiing.
Please note:
– Guests who become too fatigued or unable to ski the terrain may be asked to sit out for the remainder of the day.
– Refunds cannot be issued for unskied runs due to exhaustion, ability level, or personal choice.
– If a guide determines your skiing/riding ability is insufficient, you may be asked to stop for safety reasons without a refund.

Price: ￥284,000 per person
- 6 runs of guided heli skiing
- One guest shares the heli with 3 groups. Each group maximum 4 guests, 1 guide.

Sample Itinerary
7:00 – Pickup time from Niseko (7:50 for Rusutsu)
8:00 – Arrive to heli pad
8:00 – Avalanche and heli briefing
9:00 – Start shredding (lunch will be taken between this time, there is no set time since we are going to fly if there is a short window)
15:00 – 16:30 – Last run
16:00 – 17:30 – Transfer to Niseko
Terrain
The heli skiing zone on Shiribetsu-Dake reaches up to 1,107 meters. The terrain is a mix of trees, steep chutes, and open glades. Slopes range from 20-40 degrees (a typical resort black run is 32º). Average runs are 650 meters long meaning you can expect to rack up over 3,000 meters of vertical with a full 6 run day. As with any heli ski terrain, the number of runs/day depends on the weather, avalanche conditions, and the group’s ability level.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Weather in Hokkaido can change quickly. Our heli base is located near Rusutsu Ski Resort, allowing us to make the most of the day even if flying is delayed. If the morning is too cloudy to fly, we will often ski at Rusutsu Resort until the weather improves. As soon as it clears, we will return to heli operations.
Full-Day Cancellation:
If we are unable to fly for the entire day due to weather, snow stability, mechanical issues, or unforeseen emergencies, we will offer a guided lift-assisted powder trip to Rusutsu Resort and refund the difference in price.
– Minimum charge: ¥55,000 per person (Rusutsu trip)
– Refund amount: ¥234,000 per person
Partial-Day Cancellation:
If we are only able to complete part of the day’s runs due to weather or mechanical issues, we will refund ¥40,000 per unskied run per person.
